spacerThroughout the year the Coalition is involved in many activities within the Redfield School such as Red Ribbon Week, safe driving campaign, SADD meetings and events. The Coalition is also engaged in our communities by providing information at local events, co-sponsoring the annual Wellness Fair at SDDC, coordinating Techniques in Alcohol Management classes as well as assisting city leaders to review the alcohol licensing policies and the Sheriff with alcohol compliance checks.

2024 SD Peer Leadership Conference

Rather than focusing specifically on SADD students this years conference was geared towards all SD Peer Leaders, which meant other leadership clubs (FCCLA, FFA, FBLA, National Honor Society, etc) were all welcome to attend. This years theme was "Unleash your superpower", each student was encouraged to find their superhero name, and then they were able to participate in a number of keynotes and breakout sessions. The keynotes and breakouts were centered around using leadership skills as your superpower, there were breakouts on finding your purpose, self defense, and vaping education to name a few. There was also time for relationship and team building through various activities. Redfield SADD had three students (Amelia Sjurseth, Piper Garrison and Jack Mills) on the advisory board, which helped plan the conference.
